The NCS elves are dusting off the Christmas trees, pulling gifts, wrapping paper, and decorations out of storage and getting ready for our 2017 Elf Program.
Trees, with “elf hat” tags attached, will be on display starting November 15th in locations dotted throughout the region.
Each tag will indicate a special gift (“pajamas for a 9 yr old boy”, “$25 i-Tunes gift card”, Petro-Canada gas card, etc.) or a request for a cash donation. Residents wishing to help their neighbours will choose a tag, buy the gift (or write a cheque) and then return the gift to the original tree location (by December 12th). NCS elves then wrap the parcels and gift them to registered families.
The following centres in Oceanside will host Christmas Elf trees (or just tags):
- Nanoose Place
- Nanoose Post Office
- St. Mary’s Church
- Fairwinds Wellness (Recreation) Centre
- Springford Farm Market
- Jim’s Gym (Parksville)
- Nanoose Bay Elementary School (tags only)
- Nanoose Bay Dental (tags only)
- Craig Bay Clubhouse (tags only)
Pick a tag, buy a gift and bring a smile to a child’s face at Christmas.
