Colonel Chris Kilford served as our deputy military attaché in Kabul and later as military attaché in Ankara, cross accredited to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkmenistan. Chris holds a PhD from Queens University in history. Although retired from the military in 2014, Chris has kept close ties with Turkey’s Ambassador to Canada and was on the ground again in Turkey in the fall of 2019. Chris is currently President of the Victoria Branch of the Canadian International Council.

This is a marvelous opportunity to hear from an accomplished speaker who has broad first-hand experience in this troubled corner of the world.
