How You Can Help

Donate Online

Both monthly and one time donations can be made online via credit card. Please note, funds received over and above the needs for a specific program or purpose will be put into the general fund for all NCS programs and used where needed most.

Donate by e-Transfer

You can use e-Transfer via your online banking. You just set up a new Payee called Nanoose Community Services or NCS and the email is:

treasurer@nanoosecommunityservices.org

Your bank transfer system will walk you through the amount of the payment.

NOTE: In order for a tax receipt to be issued, please ensure you include your FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, MAILING ADDRESS and EMAIL in the comments/notes field so we know who the donation is coming from and can issue the receipt.

NCS is set up to automatically deposit e-transfers, but if your bank asks to include a security question, please use:  “what is my last name” and the answer will be the donor’s last name.

Donate by Mail

CHEQUE: Please include your email as well as a mailing address for a tax-deductible receipt and send to:

Nanoose Community Services P.O. Box 47, Nanoose Bay, BC V9P 9J9

Both monthly and one time donations can be made online via credit card. Please note, funds received over and above the needs for a specific program or purpose will be put into the general fund for all NCS programs and used where needed most.

Donate Securities

The Canada Revenue Agency does not apply capital gains tax on donations of publicly traded securities.

When you sell your shares for cash, you’re responsible for the tax due on the gain, even if you plan to donate the proceeds from the sale. But when you donate your securities to NCS through CanadaHelps, those capital gains aren’t subject to tax.

NCS cannot accept donated household goods

Thank you for thinking of NCS and your neighbours in need to donate your goods to, however NCS does not have the facilities or volunteer operations to manage the receiving and distributing of household goods. Instead, please consider donating to SOS Thrift Store, Salvation Army Thrift Stores, or through the Nanoose Bay Buy Nothing group on Facebook

Donate Your Q-Points

Every time you shop at Quality Foods, you can help feed your neighbours by donating your Q-Points to Nanoose Community Services. Ask at the till when you check out.

Hold an Event

Whether your child donates his birthday presents, you hold a concert in your home, you launch your book or you encourage friends and clients to run 5 km – you can be a hero to your neighbours in Nanoose Bay!
