Sunday@4: Forest Bounty – from buildings to nano materials
February 25, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Forests contribute to our daily lives in more ways than we realize, and the list keeps growing. Nature’s bounty from our forests ranges from the air we breathe, the wood materials we love in our homes and buildings, the pulp and paper products we use in countless ways, and the new generation of emerging biomaterials discovered deep within the cell structure of our trees.
Learn about the amazing diversity of forest products in this session led by Gail Sherson who has a graduate degree in Pulp and Paper Engineering and has worked with the BC Pulp and Paper sector on innovation and industry transformation. Gail will be joined by Hans de Visser, President of Coastland Wood Industries and Cliff Hinton, a retired industrial training professional.
